People in the Grand Valley will get the inside story of Hollywood and help Partners of Mesa County by attending a show put on by two veterans of TV and film.
Joyce Bulifant and husband Roger Perry are veterans of dozens of television shows from "Star Trek" and "Perry Mason" to "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and "Just Shoot Me". The two will talk about their careers using music and photographs in a show for Partners of Mesa County; and though Bulifant has often played ditsy characters on TV,
she says helping children is as important to her and Perry as entertaining people.
"We're here because we want to help all children, anyone at risk from substance abuse, she says. "It's one of the biggest heart-breakers and biggest causes of death."
Roger Perry says TV today is better than it was in the past. "Sometimes watching "Law and Order" is better than anything you see in the movie theaters because the production values are so good, and they go on location so much."
The show is at the Avalon Theater at 7PM, January 13th. Tickets are 12 dollars each and can be purchased at Partners or any City Market.
