A suspected drunk driver crashes into a supermarket sign on Orchard Mesa early Sunday morning.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, around 6:30 a.m. 20 year old Sean Foster of Whitewater was driving westbound on Highway 50 when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel.
His 2001 Volkswagen Jetta veered of the road and smacked into a large sign, causing extensive damage to both the vehicle and the sign.
Foster was transported to St. Mary's Hospital with what appeared to be moderate injuries.
He is facing several charges, including suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, underage consumption of alcohol and careless driving.
