After serving four years as a Mesa County Commissioner, Tillie Bishop attended his last public hearing on Monday.
During his tenure as a commissioner, Bishop said the toughest subject he had to deal with was land use decisions because when he first came on board, the master plan for the county hadn't been updated for nearly seven years. His favorite part of being a commissioner was being able to represent the people of mesa county.
Bishop left for Denver with his wife Monday, where he will be sworn in Tuesday at the capitol as the Representative for the 3rd Congressional District on the University of Colorado Board of Regents.
