Man Facing Attempted Murder Charges

A Littleton man is facing two counts of attempted first degree murder along with first degree burglary, false imprisonment and criminal mischief.

According to Corporal Scott Andy with the Palisade Police Department, 45 year–old Craig Sherman Goodwin was arrested after they received reports of shots being fired in a residential neighborhood.

Authorities say Goodwin allegedly fired two shots from a semi –automatic AK–47 Rifle at his estranged wife, and her friend James Cole.

The shots landed just left of Cole. Both Cole and Goodwin's estranged wife told police they thought he was going to kill them. Goodwin is being held at the Mesa County jail.
