Halliburton officials are investigating an accident that occurred while performing well services near Parachute Wednesday afternoon.
According to spokesperson Cathy Mann, Halliburton was performing work with other contracted personnel when the accident occurred.
One Halliburton employee suffered severe injuries and was air lifted to St. Mary's Hospital to undergo surgery and is now recovering.
Another subcontracted worker received minor injuries and was treated by local emergency response crews on the scene.
Halliburton says they will continue to cooperate with authorities as the investigation into what went wrong continues. At this time neither of the victim's names are being released.
