Senator Wayne Allard says he will honor his commitment to serve only two terms in Congress.
At a press conference in Denver this morning the two-term Senator said, "In an age when promises are cast away as quickly as yesterday's newspaper, I believe a promise should be kept."
Allard's decision not to run leaves the campaign for Senator wide-open. Among the contenders considering a run are Democrat Mark Udall and Republican Scott McInnis, who says he would run only if former Governor Bill Owens decides not to run.
