Frozen water pipes lead to the shut down of a Fruita school Tuesday.
Shortly after school was in session, maintenance staffers at Fruita 8/9 School noticed the lack of water flowing from domestic water pipes.
Along with faucet and toilets, the pipes also effect sprinkler systems.
The decision to close the school came at around 9:15 a.m. and school officials say the decision led to fast action by teachers.
Water flow has been restored and Fruita 8/9 School will be open Wednesday.
