Child seat specialists at the Mesa County Health Department say they haven't had anyone call them in the wake of Consumer Reports magazine's retraction of a child safety seat article yesterday.
Consumer Reports had initially rated nearly every child seat tested as inadequate, but later determined that a contractor had tested the seats at twice the impact speed required by the federal government.
an expert at the Health Department says the retraction shows federal standards are adequate.
