A former member of the New Zealand Parliament was the guest speaker Friday at the Mesa County Republicans Luncheon.
It took over a year to get him to speak at the luncheon, but Mesa County Republicans said the time and the money spent was well worth it.
Maurice McTigue is best known for helping to deregulate the labor markets and transportation industry in his native country.
McTigue now lives in the United States and serves as the Director of the Government Accountability Program at George Mason University.
