An Orchard Mesa elementary school is short thousands of dollars needed for the purchase of new playground equipment.
New Emerson Elementary has raised $11,000 this school year, but are still short the $25,000 that is needed. The school plans on soliciting the school district to help with the fund-raising.
The school district said it will consider the request when they go through this year's budget process.
