Meeting Wednesday To Create Future Of I-70B Corridor

Video will be available shortly.

The Colorado Department of Transportation will hold its' second public meeting on the future of the I-70B corridor Wednesday night.

This meeting will further winnow down the options C-DOT dot has developed for the busy corridor and include options from closing down frontage roads along the busy Mesa Mall to downtown section to creating a modified intersection at First Street and Grand Avenue as well as changes to the North Avenue intersections just to the west. C-DOT engineer Craig Snyder says this will be the last chance for the public to show their preferences on a project with a long–term impact.

"Riverside Parkway is going to take some pressure off this system, especially in the middle and eastern sections, he says, " so it may seem like those sections are taking less traffic, but the 2030 projection is that this project is needed throughout this corridor."

The meeting is from 4:30 to 7 tomorrow night at Two Rivers Convention Center.
