The Grand Junction Police Department estimates the President's visit cost them anywhere from $3,000 to $5,000. The Mesa County Sheriff's Office says they probably spent more like $5,000 to $10,000.

Both agencies say assisting the United States Secret Service was an honor and they will not ask to be reimbursed.

The police department had about 75 people dedicated to the President's visit and the sheriff's office 71.

Colorado State Patrol, Bureau of Land Management and the Clifton and Grand Junction Fire Departments also helped federal officials keep the president safe.

The last time a sitting president was in Grand Junction was back in 1991 when George Bush came.

No arrests were made during President Obama's stop.
