Soon there will be a new choice in Mesa County when it comes to public education--Caprock Academy, a public charter school is set to open it's doors in July.
On Tuesday night, nearly two dozen parents attended an informational meeting to hear more about what the charter school will offer.
The school will use scientifically proven, accelerated academic programs to develop strong minds and character.
It will begin with grades K-7, but will add a grade each year until it becomes K-12.
There's still time to participate in the school's open enrollment.
