State Representative Bernie Buescher is presenting a bill this week that would impact oil and gas drilling communities.
Buescher, who is working along side Representative Kathleen Curry from Gunnison, is proposing a bill that will double the amount of severance tax dollars that are given back to communities that are effected by the oil and gas drilling industry. Representative Buescher says this bill is important to him because it effects the districts he represents.
The bill will be presented to the house finance committee this Wednesday. After that Representative Buescher hopes it will make it to the floor within the next ten days.
