There have been many turns in the case against Samuel Lincoln. Samuel Lincoln, one of two men accused of attempting to murder James Finnegan, showed up to court Monday with a new attorney, Kathy Goudy. Goudy asked the court for a special prosecutor because she saw some red flags in the case.
The District Attorney’s Office said they aren’t worried about the request, and that they will contest it vigorously.
The D.A.‘s Office also said that a defense will make this request because its in their best interest to have another Judicial District prosecute the case because they won’t have as much vested interest in the case.
The hearing for this motion will be held in March.
