Since the mid 90's the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce has been sponsoring trips to sit in on the Legislative Session, and this year the tradition continues.
The Chamber's "2007 Legislative Days" trip will be March 1ST & 2ND. Chamber members are invited to take the two-day trip to Denver which includes meeting with the Colorado General Assembly, and learning more about the inner workings of the session. In the past, dinner with lawmakers has been part of the trip. But with the passage of Amendment 41 getting lawmakers to come has proved difficult. However trip organizers say they think they've found a way for legislators to still attend.
Transportation, lodging and food are included in the cost of the trip which is $315 if you want a room all to yourself, or $275 if you double up.
