Entertainment & Education Makes For Some "Edutainment!"
From the brass to the woodwinds to the strings, elementary school students in District 51 are learning all about the instruments that make up the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra.
The Annual Children's Concert is entitled "First Trip to the Symphony," and it's narrated by Mesa State Theater Professor Richard Cowden.
Symphony Music Director Kirk Gustafson calls the program "edutainment" since the concert is both entertaining and educational.
The Symphony is putting on an encore presentation of the Children's Concert for the public Saturday, February 10 at 11 a.m. in the Grand Junction High School auditorium.
