Coroner Rules On Teenager's Death

Video will be available shortly.

The Montrose County Coroner makes a ruling in the death of a teenage girl whose body was recently found below the Gunnison Point overlook.

Holly Jordan St. John's body was discovered over the weekend and today the coroner says there's not enough scientific information to determine her exact manner of death.

Dr. Thomas Canfield says he does not believe St. John was murdered because only her footprints were found in the area where she went off the canyon, which is not enough to determine if it was an accident or suicide. Dr. Canfield says his office has standards when it comes to ruling on the manner of death and if they cannot be met then the death certificate is marked "not determined."

St. John's body was removed from 12,000 feet below the Gunnison overlook early Sunday morning.
