Weather Creates Hazardous Driving Conditions

Strong winds and heavy snow are creating hazardous conditions in parts of the state. The Colorado Department of Transportation shut down several highways Friday morning due to poor weather conditions.

Westbound lanes of Interstate–70 were closed by state officials and multiple car accidents were reported in sections of US Highway 285.

Forecasters expect more snow to fall in northern and central Colorado Friday night making driving conditions extremely dangerous in the high country.
