It has been a 78 year tradition for the Grand junction Lions Club to host a carnival and parade.
It is the only fundraiser for the service organization, and through the last 78 years, the event has helped the group to raise $3,000,000, which is donated back to the community.
The carnival starts at 6:00 pm Saturday night at Two Rivers Convention Center. Through raffle ticket sales, the Grand Junction Lions Club hopes to raise $200,000 from this year's carnival and parade.
