The investigation into a written threat by an Olathe High School student is over.
According to Olathe Police Chief, Ric Hawk, the investigation closed on Friday afternoon after authorities concluded a criminal act was not committed by the male student. Olathe Police made the decision, with council from the 7th Judicial District District Attorney's Office, that no steps were made in carrying out the threat.
Hawk said the note is about 2 1/2 months old, and that the list contained the names of the boy's friends. Montrose County School District RE –1J officials could not be reached Monday because of the holiday; so it is not known if the student is able to return to school.
