Spay/Neuter Campaign Kicks Off

Video will be available shortly.

As the population continues to climb in the Grand Valley so does the pet overpopulation problem, and officials are hoping now more than ever that pet owners will listen up and get their animals spayed or neutered.

The Second Annual Spay/Neuter Campaign is officially underway in Mesa County. It's designed to educate pet owners on the importance of the medical procedure and help them pay for it. Those with limited incomes can apply for the Grand Rivers Humane Grant which makes the cost only $25.

Having you're pet spayed or neutered not only helps control the pet population but its proven to keep animals more healthy.
