Mesa County Animal Services is dealing with two sick puppies. The puppies have Parvovirus and are being isolated and monitored closely so that it doesn't spread. The shelter's puppy room is closed to the public and will be for the next week.
Officials say the virus is rampant in Mesa County and it's important to vaccinate your pet. Parvo cannot be contracted by humans and is the most common viral illness a dog can get.
