This week's Grand Valley Power Student of the Week chose to follow in the footsteps of a teacher who made a lasting impression. Now Central High School Senior, Nicholle Wallace plans to do that by becoming a middle school math teacher. She is well on her way to achieving this. Wallace is on the fast track program at Mesa State College where she is also a math tutor.

In Wallace's spare time she is teaching kids on the volleyball court. In her future she'd like to combine these two passions.

Wallace says, "That would be cool if after I finish teaching my classes, then I'd go over and help out with volleyball."

Wallace will attend the University of Northern Colorado this fall to study math with an emphasis in secondary education.
