A major project to help Grand Junction deal with a catastrophic storm event was set to get off the ground in a couple of weeks, but after conflicts arose about the recommended bid, city council members decided Wednesday night to re-bid the first phase of the Ranchmen's Ditch Project.
City staff was recommending the first phase be awarded to Scott Contracting, a front range company.
However, local company Mendez Inc. is insinuating that Scott's bid was doctored, to come in as the lowest.
Public Works and Planning Director Tim Moore tells 11 News the process will put the project off for an unknown amount of time.
