Local artists choose paint colors and put the final touches on their creations Thursday as they finished the second class in a program that brings the art center and clients from Mesa Developmental Services together.
Organizers believe art is a therapeutic outlet for people with mental and physical disabilities, and say this kind of work can also bring out pride and a sense of accomplishment for those who participate.
You have a chance to check out the talent of some of these artists.
From now until the end of the month Barnes & Noble by Mesa Mall will have several of the pieces on display.
