A Mack mother is facing charges for not having her four kids buckled up when she rolled her truck. One of the kids was ejected during the crash.
Colorado State Patrol says Carissa Quarles was going west on Colorado Highway 6 in Loma on Sunday night when she says she swerved to miss a deer.
Her truck went off the left side of the road and rolled once. Quarles' 3-year-old son was ejected and rushed to the hospital with a fractured skull.
Quarles' other children, an 8 and 5–year–old and a 21-month-old suffered minor injuries in the crash.
State Patrol says none of the children were buckled up or riding in proper car seats or booster seats. Quarles is facing four counts of not providing or using proper safety restraints.
She is also facing charges for driving without insurance.
