A man's planned trip out of Montrose ended with a trip to the Montrose County Jail on Wednesday night.
According to the Montrose Daily Press, drug agents with the Delta Montrose Drug Task Force allegedly found meth in Jose Hernandez – Fierros's luggage during a traffic stop. When Hernandez – Fierros was first pulled over, he tried to flea. When authorities stopped his truck a second time, authorities uncovered more than 2 grams of suspected meth in his luggage.
Hernandez – Fierros was arrested and faces numerous felony charges, including suspicion of possession and possession with intent to distribute.
