Grand Junction Hosts Energy Expo

Grand Junction played host to the second annual Energy Forum and Expo Friday, with thousands of people in attendance.

Dozens of energy companies, from oil and gas to solar power were on hand, answering questions from curious residents about the future of the industry.

Along with showing off new tools and technologies, a number of expert speakers were on hand, talking about everything from the future of solar and wind power to the feasibility of oil shale.

With the Western Slope continuing to grow with energy businesses moving in, the event's organizer Kathy Hall said that the expo is sure to be an annual event and is sure to grow in attendance each year as well.
