After more than three hours, fire crews finally free a man trapped in his truck. Around 12:30 Tuesday morning a semi truck rolled off Interstate 70 near mile marker 44.

According to the Palisade Fire Department, 46 year old Carl Ward from Ohio was hauling plastic pipes in a semi truck. He came to a sharp curve on the highway, lost control and rolled through the road barriers and into the river bed. Due to the severity of the crash it took crews about 3 and a half hours of cutting and torching to free Ward from his truck.

Ward was transported to St. Mary's with non-life threatening injuries.
