For the second time this week, stockholders had a rude awakening after the DOW stumbled out of the gate on Thursday, dropping 200 points in the first few minutes. This bumpy ride continued throughout the day.
Experts say, these peaks and slides don't have much effect when looking at the market from a long term perspective rather than on a minute to minute basis.
C.P.A. Bob Funderburk says, "We could run another week of up and down and you just really don't know but this is a volatile world."
While the DOW did recover for a short time on Thursday, at the closing bell the blue chips were off about 34 points.
