Shortly after midnight, a man died when his truck rolled more than two times in a rural area north of Debeque.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, a preliminary investigation shows the Chevrolet Silverado was traveling south when it veered off Roan Creek Road. It appears the driver, a 23 year old man, over corrected - sending the vehicle off the road. Both occupants were ejected. The passenger, a 14 year old male, was taken by Care Flight to St. Mary's Hospital with serious injuries. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Garfield County Coroners Office.
Neither of the occupants were wearing a seat belt, and speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
