Five people from Telluride have been arrested in a huge cocaine bust there.

The five were arrested Wednesday after law enforcement officers seized 15 pounds of cocaine in a search of two businesses and homes in the area.

Officials say the street value of the drugs is more than $900,000.

The bust came after a long investigation by various law enforcement agencies in Montrose and San Miguel Counties.

Officials say local residents tipped them off after they became suspicious of their neighbors.

Investigators say some of those arrested were also purchasing guns in the U.S. and selling them in Mexico.

Four weapons were recovered during the bust.

The five are facing a number of charges, including distribution of cocaine, unlawful purchase of a firearm and conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

The people arrested are:
Eric Cristobal Sanchez, 34, of Telluride. Charged with distribution of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school F2, conspiracy to distribute cocaine F3, distribution of cocaine F3 and unlawful purchase of firearms F4, resisting arrest M2. He is being held on a $5 million cash only bond in Montrose County and a $1 million cash bond in San Miguel County.
Gilberto Garcia Garcia, 34, of Telluride. Charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine F3. He is being held on a $5 million cash only bond in Montrose County and a $1 million cash bond in San Miguel County.
Enrique Hernandez (aka Kiki), 21, of Telluride. Charged with distribution of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school F2, conspiracy to distribute cocaine F3, distribution of cocaine F3, unlawful possession of cocaine with intent to distribute F3 and unlawful purchase of firearms F4. He is being held in the San Miguel County Jail.
Marcio Antonio Garcia-Garcia (aka Tono), 26, of Telluride. Charged with distribution of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school F2, conspiracy to distribute cocaine F3, distribution of cocaine F3, unlawful possession of cocaine with intent to distribute F3. He is being held on a $5 million cash only bond in Montrose County and a $1 million cash bond in San Miguel County.
Maria Vargas Gonzales (aka Maria Sanchez), 33, of Telluride. Charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine, other charges are pending. She is being held on a $5 million cash only bond in Montrose County and a $1 million cash bond in San Miguel County.

Four search warrants for locations in Telluride were issued in the case.
