Growth, land prices, park development and drilling on the watershed are just some of the many topics brought up at a City Council candidate Forum.
City Council Candidates Bruce Hill, Linda Romer Todd, Kent Baughman and Gregg Palmer were all in attendance. Candidate Joe Gardner was a no–show and sent an e–mail saying he had a migraine.
Each candidate was asked a series of questions about their qualifications and were also asked to state their position on Amendment A which is the city's proposed TABOR override.
While opinions differed on some of the topics when it came to drilling on the watershed they agreed it must be done in a way that it doesn't hurt the environment.
The forum was sponsored by the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce. The Municipal Election is April 3rd.
