A decision has been made concerning a dangerous pedestrian crosswalk near Mesa State College.
In a week, the crossing at 12th Street and Glenwood Avenue will be completely removed.
With the project, the remaining two crosswalks in the area, one at Bunting Avenue the other at Kennedy Avenue, will see several safety improvements.
A 17-year-old student was hit at the crosswalk in February and between 2000 and 2005 it was the site of 25 accidents.
The costs of the $27,000 project will be split between the City of Grand Junction and Mesa State.
