Grand Junction police used a taser gun with an uncooperative subject Tuesday night.

The incident happened near 12th Street at Ute Avenue after authorities received a call of shots fired.

When the Grand Junction Police Department arrived on scene they found no evidence of anyone being shot and say no shots were ever fired.

However, according to authorities, a man in the area would not listen to officials after being ordered to get down and that's when the man was tased by police.

He was taken to St. Mary's Hospital and police say the investigation is ongoing.
