Castle Rock, Colo. (AP) A man missing from Highlands Ranch since Monday has turned up safe -- in San Diego, California.
Authorities say 78-year-old Roger Mattoon is now resting comfortably at a San Diego hospital.
A citizen called for help after seeing a man in a parking lot who looked like he needed medical attention.
He was taken to a hospital. His Veteran's Administration identification card led to a computer search that flagged him as a missing person from Colorado.
Family members were concerned since Mattoon was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
Douglas County sheriff's officials say Mattoon apparently got to California on a Greyhound bus.
