The melting of the snowpack is right around the corner and, as always, there will be an increased threat of rising waters.
To help prepare residents, this week is National Flood Safety Awareness Week.
Each day the National Weather Service will provide information on dealing with a specific aspect of flooding, from driving away from flood waters to preparing for winter runoff flood potentials.
The information will be posted on the National Weather Service website.
