Montpelier, Vt. (AP) -- So Gross! A Utah girl has won the top prize for sporting some of the stinkiest sneakers in the country.

On Tuesday, 13-year-old Katharine Tuck from Tooele was named the winner of the 32nd Annual National Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest.

The seventh grader won with a pair of blue-and-white low-cut Nikes, held together with duct tape.

The Utah girl wore her Nikes for a year-and-a-half and had the judges wincing.

Now, Katharine can buy some new sneakers. As winner of the Rotten Sneaker Contest, she gets $2,500.

Her mom, Paula Tuck, isn't embarrassed by Katharine's foul footwear. She says she's proud of the little stinker.
