This week's Grand Valley Power Student of the Week will soon leave her home of sixteen years to start on her worldly mission.

Central High School Senior Samantha Scoggins is on the fast track program at Mesa State College. She was born and raised in Grand Junction and now she says she wants to get out and explore.
She plans on becoming a foreign ambassador and hopes to help out African countries.

Scoggins says, "I know there are a lot of problems in African countries like civil wars, aids, government structure, and the economics and political structures could be a lot better."

Scoggins is only sixteen years old, yet she attends Mesa State College full time. Next semester she will be off to Colorado Christian University to major in global studies.
