Mesa State Students Vote To Increase Student Fees

Mesa State's Associated Student Government voted 12 to 3 to raise student fees to pay for a new student center.

The Associated Student Government held a meeting Thursday night to get more student feedback about the fee increase.

Those in favor of the increase said it was time for a new student center because the existing building is out of date and too small for the school's population. The total cost of the renovation is estimated at about $24 million.

The new student center will be attached to the existing facility and stand two stories high.
