Denver (AP) The State House of Representatives has killed a bill that would've barred anyone under the age of 18 from using a tanning bed unless they had a parent or guardian's permission.
Senate Bill 23 died on a 38-to-27 vote.
Supporters say children are being exposed to higher risk of cancer.
Doctors have said that skin cancer rates are up 40 percent in Colorado, and exposure from a tanning bed could last a lifetime.
