Her favorite color was purple, and she loved her mom's spaghetti.
Thursday friends and family gathered to remember and say goodbye to 19–year–old Jennifer Kois who was killed by a suspected drunk driver during a high speed chase.
Kois' step–dad tearfully spoke at the service which was held at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Westminster.
More than 100 people packed into the church to remember the teen. During the service Kois' step–father made an emotional plea asking people not to drink and drive. He also read a poem the teen had written.
It talked about how she loved to dance, was spontaneous and loved her family. Kois' step–father also spoke about the love Jennifer had for her boyfriend Jacob Brock who was also killed in the accident.
Kois was a nursing student at Mesa State College. She and her boyfriend Jake were killed last Thursday after Patrick Strawmatt rammed into them on Interstate 70 while trying to outrun authorities.
Strawmatt is facing charges of first degree murder in the young couple's death.
