The Grand Junction Police Department is informing the public about a change in status for a sex offender who has been living in the area.
36 year old Kenneth Mills moved into Grand Junction last year. Thursday night the community was warned that he is now classified as a sexually violent predator. The meeting was also held to educate the public on sex offenders.
In December Mills was arrested for failing to register within five days. He was released on bail, and is now complying with the law. He is also facing pending charges in two other states for failing to register as a sex offender.
