GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)- Friday might be the Eve of Halloween, but many businesses and schools participated in Halloween festivities.
Tope Elementary School hosted their annual Halloween Parade. The entire student body walked from the playground to the Monterey Park Senior Citizen's Retirement Residences. This parade took place at 2:30 PM and the senior citizens gave a bag of candy to every student.
Fruita held Trick or Treating on the streets of downtown. Parents and children roamed the streets to fill their bags with candy. There were also miniature horse rides for the kids and a local real estate agency gave away hot cider to keep everyone warm in the thirty degree weather.
Lastly, Pear Park Elementary held a carnival from 6 to 8:30 in the evening. There were carnival games, including pin the nose on the pumpkin. And everyone stayed warm in the gymnasium.
