Nassau, Bahamas (AP) Anna Nicole Smith's partner, Howard K. Stern, has dropped his bid to block the release of DNA test results that could identify the father of Smith's baby daughter.
An attorney for Stern withdrew the challenge today when it appeared a court in the Bahamas was going to reject his appeal.
Stern is listed on the birth certificate as the father of Dannielynn. She could inherit millions from the estate of Smith's late husband -- oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall.
The child's DNA was tested on March 21st, but the results have not been revealed. The three-judge panel noted that Stern had waited too long to file his challenge and said he should have objected before the testing was ordered.
Smith's ex-boyfriend, Larry Birkhead, also claims to be the girl's father.
