Fruita Woman Mourns Loss of Cat Dragged Behind Pickup Truck

Grand Junction, Colo. (AP) A Fruita woman is mourning the loss of her cat, following news that three teenagers have been arrested for dragging it around town.

Mary Bosch says her cat named "Tiny'' is the same one that was tied to the back of a pickup truck and dragged around town early last month.

The teenagers reportedly told authorities the cat was already dead when they tied a noose around its neck and the other end to a truck's bumper.

But a veterinarian says Tiny was likely still alive when the incident began.

District Attorney Pete Hautzinger says the teens will likely face class six felony charges of aggravated cruelty to animals.

Bosch says words can't describe how she and her boys feel -- describing the loss as being like losing a child.
