Healthcare and agriculture top the agenda for Club 20's spring meeting this weekend.
The Western Slope lobbying group will announce its recommendation for the governor's commission on healthcare reform. Club 20 Executive Director Reeves Brown says 17 percent of Coloradoans do not have health insurance and that affects everyone else who does. Club 20 talked to insurers, doctors, hospitals, and members of the business community to come up with a plan that Brown says will provide quality, accessible healthcare for everyone in Colorado.
Club 20 begins again at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Two Rivers Convention Center in Grand Junction. The educational program will feature numerous speakers focusing on the value of agriculture to Western Colorado.
