Man Stabbed, Suspect On The Loose

A man is recovering at St. Mary's Hospital from a stab wound to the chest.

At this time authorities are being tight lipped about who the victim is but say the suspect is still on the loose.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office was called out to 2921 Dawn Drive just before 5:30 Easter morning for a report of a fight. Authorities say there was a party at the address that apparently got out of control and one man was stabbed in the side of his chest and taken to St. Mary's in a private vehicle. He also had a cut on his arm.

Sheriff's Deputies learned about the stabbing when the hospital called 911 to report it. Hospital officials say the man's injuries are not immediately life threatening.

At this time officials aren't releasing the victim's identity or a description of the suspect.
