Area businesses honoring veterans with freebies
With Veterans Day Wednesday, we’ve got a check in for you on all the special events going on in the Grand Valley.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - With Veterans Day Wednesday, we’ve got a check in for you on all the special events going on in the Grand Valley.
At 11 a.m. there will be a ceremony at the Western Slope Vietnam Memorial Park in Fruita.
All vets can get their car washed for free from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Redlands Canyon View Carwash, located at 2258 Broadway.
Applebee’s has selected a list of free entrees for vets and active duty military.
And vets and active duty military can get also get a free bloomin’ onion and beverage at the Outback Steakhouse.
Don’t forget, for everyone, since it is a holiday, city offices will be closed.
Trash pickup and recycling will continue as scheduled.
If you’re headed downtown, it’s a meter holiday, all parking is free.
